Gone with the Wind

By Victor Fleming

Synopsis

A sheltered and manipulative Southern belle and a roguish profiteer face off in a turbulent romance as the society around them crumbles with the end of slavery and is rebuilt during the Civil War and Reconstruction periods.

A saga that forever rivets the imaginations of the Civil War in flamboyant technicolor and makes Scarlet O’Hara a legend. If the film ignores the brutalities of slavery, it honors Hattie, the first African-American actress to receive an Oscar.
