First Blood

By Ted Kotcheff

Synopsis

When small-town sheriff detains Vietnam veteran John Rambo, little does he realize that he has set in motion a series of events that will bring mayhem to his community.

This wild film which allowed Sylvester Stallone to become a global star is also a great political film. It shows the trauma of Vietnam War veterans sacrificed for their homeland who only receive hostility from society in return.
