Synopsis

Fol­low­ing the death of pub­lish­ing tycoon Charles Fos­ter Kane, reporters scram­ble to uncov­er the mean­ing of his final utter­ance: ‘Rose­bud.’

Orson Welles invents mod­ern cin­e­ma by paint­ing the explod­ed por­trait in a thou­sand facets of an Amer­i­can tycoon, who always sought to fill his soli­tude in the excess­es of pow­er and money.
