Cabaret

By Bob Fosse

Synopsis

A female girlie club entertainer in Weimar Republic era Berlin romances two men while the Nazi Party rises to power around them.

At the beginning of the 1970s, Bob Fosse invented the political musical comedy and offered an unforgettable role to Liza Minnelli. The filmmaker puts the understanding of the mechanisms of totalitarianism within the reach of the general public.
