From Deauville … to Cannes

Pres­i­dent of the Jury for the 39^th Deauville Fes­ti­val in 2013, Vin­cent Lin­don award­ed the Grand Prix to Kel­ly Reichardt. This year the actor will pre­side over the 75^th Cannes Film Fes­ti­val and will award the Palme d’Or. Amongst the 8n mem­bers of his jury, we can find the Nor­we­gian direc­tor Joachim Tri­er, who came to present The Worst Per­son in the World in Deauville in 2021 in the “Heure de la Croisette” selec­tion. Fur­ther­more, For­est Whitak­er will receive an hon­orary Palme d’or in Cannes. The actor was invit­ed as a spe­cial guest to Deauville in 2013, where he pre­sent­ed Lee Daniel’s The But­ler. He played the role of the but­ler in the White­house, wit­ness to 50 years of Amer­i­can History.
