Created in 1991 by the member companies of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), an association of six American film production and distribution studios, the Prix d’Ornano-Valenti, awarded by a jury of Anglo-Saxon journalists and chaired by Jean-Guillaume d’Ornano, honors a first French film in order to help support its wider recognition, promotion and exportation. Since 2009, the Prize is supported by the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
The Prix d’Ornano-Valenti will be officially awarded at the Palmarès ceremony of the Deauville American Film Festival to Mareike Engelhardt’s RABIA, to be released in France on November 27, 2024.
