Tessa Louise-Salomé
DirectorAbout
Award-winning French director, writer, and producer Tessa Louise-Salomé’s work foregrounds visually-poetic approaches to storytelling. She produces films that combine social justice issues with a focus on the artist’s creative universe. She made Drive In Holy Motors (2013), a chronicle of the filming of Leos Carax’s fifth film, and later Mr. X, an immersion in the filmmaker’s singular universe. For Arte she directed Once Upon a Time… Mommy (2017), about Xavier Dolan’s electrifying film. Narrated by Willem Dafoe, The Wild One (2022) recounts the life of maverick artist Jack Garfein.
