Rod Blackhurst

Born in Herkimer, New York, he direct­ed sev­er­al award-win­ning short films includ­ing the SXSW offi­cial selec­tion Would You (2012), Alone Time (2013), Mom­my, (2020) and Hys­teric (2021). He direct­ed and showran the doc­u­men­tary series John Wayne Gacy: Dev­il in Dis­guise (2021) for Pea­cock and direct­ed NatGeo’s Wel­come to Earth (2021) star­ring Will Smith. He also direct­ed and pro­duced the Net­flix Orig­i­nal Doc­u­men­tary Aman­da Knox (2016) and the 2016 Tribeca Film Fes­ti­val Audi­ence Award Win­ning Here Alone. Blood for Dust is his sec­ond fea­ture film.
