Payal Kapadia

Based in Mum­bai, Pay­al Kapa­dia direct­ed sev­er­al short films before mak­ing a first doc­u­men­tary fea­ture, A Night of Know­ing Noth­ing, select­ed at 2021 Director’s Fort­night where it won the Gold­en Eye for best doc­u­men­tary. All We Imag­ine as Light, her first fic­tion film, won the Grand Prix at the last Cannes Film Festival.
