After studying literature and films at la Fémis, she wrote and directed her feature debut Forget Me in 1995. In 1999, she won the Prix Jean Vigo and the Silver Leopard at Locarno with Life Doesn’t Scare Me. Her films Feelings (2002) and Camille Rewinds (2012) were critical and commercial successes. She also pursed an acting career, in such films as Arnaud Desplechin’s Kings & Queen (2004), Bertrand Bonello’s House of Tolerance (2011), Martin Provost’s How to Be a Good Wife (2019), and recently Pietro Marcello’s Nobody’s Hero (2022).
