Malia Ann

Raised between Chica­go and D.C., Malia Ann cul­ti­vat­ed a deep love for sto­ry­telling and film. She received her bach­e­lor degree in Eng­lish with a focus on play­writ­ing, screen­play writ­ing, and film. Her senior the­sis was a screen­play that achieved her both a top uni­ver­si­ty prize and a staff writ­ing job on Janine Nabers and Don­ald Glover’s series Swarm. The Heart is her first short film as a screen­writer and director.
