Jonathan Glazer

Win­ner of numer­ous inter­na­tion­al awards for his work in adver­tis­ing and music video, he chose to focus in 2000 on the world of British gang­sters — a world that fas­ci­nates him — with his direc­to­r­i­al fea­ture debut Sexy Beast. He con­tin­ued in film­mak­ing in 2004 with Birth, pre­sent­ed at Deauville and star­ring Nicole Kid­man, where a lit­tle boy tried to con­vince her that he is the rein­car­na­tion of her dead hus­band. After a long absence, he returned to the big screen in 2014 with Under the Skin, a film fea­tur­ing Scar­lett Johans­son. The Zone of Inter­est won the Grand Prize at the last Cannes Film Festival.
