Diego Ongaro

Of French ori­gin but liv­ing in the USA, he wrote and direct­ed four acclaimed short films: Me My Bag and My Ball (2005), Return to Labrado­ria (2008), Rice and Meat (2009), and Bob and the Trees (2011). His fea­ture debut Bob and the Trees, adapt­ed from his short bear­ing the same name, pre­miered at Sun­dance in 2015, and won the top prize at the Karlovy Vary Film Fes­ti­val. He was short-list­ed for the Some­one to Watch Award at the 2016 Inde­pen­dent Spir­it Awards. Down with the King is his sec­ond film.
