Always attract­ed by fan­tas­tic films, he grew up in Atlanta and attend­ed the Uni­ver­si­ty of Geor­gia where he met A. J. Bowen and Jacob Gen­try with whom he co-wrote and co-direct­ed The Sig­nal, a sci­ence fic­tion trip­tych which explores the themes of para­noia linked to mass media. He then made con­tri­bu­tions to oth­er film antholo­gies as well as an episode of the TV adap­ta­tion of Creepshow. His first solo film, The Rit­u­al, pre­miered at the Toron­to Film Fes­ti­val. The Night House is his sec­ond fea­ture film.
