Arnaud des Pallières

Intro­duced to the the­ater at the age of 16, he stud­ied lit­er­a­ture, staged sev­er­al the­ater shows and stud­ied at La Fémis. He made about ten short films before direct­ing his fea­ture debut Dran­cy Avenir in 1997. Screen­writer and edi­tor of all his films, he direct­ed, among oth­ers, Parc, pre­sent­ed at the 2008 Venice Film Fes­ti­val, Age of Upris­ing: The Leg­end of Michael Kohlhaas, pre­sent­ed in com­pe­ti­tion at the 2013 Cannes Film Fes­ti­val, or Orphan (2016), with Adèle Haenel, Adèle Exar­chopou­los, Gem­ma Arter­ton and Solène Rig­ot, select­ed in com­pe­ti­tion at the 2016 Toron­to and San Sebastián Film Fes­ti­vals. Par­ty of Fools is his eighth film.
