French film crit­ic and film his­to­ri­an, a spe­cial­ist in Amer­i­can cin­e­ma, par­tic­u­lar­ly New Hol­ly­wood, he is the author of some fif­teen books and made sev­er­al doc­u­men­taries, includ­ing We Blew It and Michael Cimi­no, an Amer­i­can Mirage, both pre­sent­ed at Deauville.
