Eleanor Coppola

Born in Southern California, she attended UCLA where she received a B.A. in art. In 1962, she worked on Francis Ford Coppola’s Dementia 13. The next year, they were married. During the making of Apocalypse Now, she shot the acclaimed documentary film Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse (1991). Her drawings, photos, and conceptual art pieces have been exhibited in many galleries and museums. In 2016, at the age of 80, she directed her first feature film, Paris Can Wait.
