Zero Dark Thirty

By Kathryn Bigelow

Synopsis

Following the September 11 attacks, Osama bin Laden becomes one of the world’s major targets. His worldwide manhunt occupies the attention of two U.S. presidential administrations. Ultimately, it is the work of a female operative that proves instrumental in finally locating the terrorist.

Kathryn Bigelow uses an ultra-realistic form to tell the story of the meticulous hunt for Osama bin Laden. The filmmaker questions us about the transgression of moral rules and the limits to be set in the democratic fight against a designated enemy.
