A grad­u­ate of the Paris Nation­al Supe­ri­or School of Dec­o­ra­tive Arts (ENSAD), Agathe Riedinger is a writer, direc­tor and pho­tog­ra­ph­er. She exper­i­ments with var­i­ous nar­ra­tive modes rang­ing from excess to irony, some­times delib­er­ate­ly vul­gar or sur­re­al, in order to ques­tion a cer­tain vision of the world and dis­cuss themes dear to her heart such as eman­ci­pa­tion and the female con­di­tion. She direct­ed the short films Wait­ing for Jupiter (2018) and Eve (2019), both select­ed by numer­ous film fes­ti­vals. Agathe Riedinger recent­ly direct­ed her first fea­ture film, Wild Dia­mond, pre­sent­ed in com­pe­ti­tion at the last Cannes Film Festival.
