Pierre Filmon

After musi­cal and for­eign lan­guage stud­ies, he made four short films which screened in 50 fes­ti­vals before direct­ing his fea­ture-length doc­u­men­tary film Close Encoun­ters with Vil­mos Zsig­mond which was in the offi­cial selec­tion of the 2016 Cannes Film Fes­ti­val, then at Deauville. He then direct­ed his first fic­tion fea­ture, Long Time No See (2021), which was pre­sent­ed in many film fes­ti­vals around the world such as Angoulême, Moscow, Shang­hai, More­lia and Goa. He is a mem­ber of the French Ciné­math­èque and is now pro­duc­ing his own films with his pro­duc­tion com­pa­ny Almano Films.
