About

Born in France, she grew up in the Mid­dle East and South Amer­i­ca. After grad­u­at­ing from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Colum­bia, she wrote and direct­ed in 2009 her fea­ture debut, Cold Souls, select­ed in many film fes­ti­vals such as Sun­dance, Deauville, Karlovy Vary, Syd­ney, Lon­don and Los Ange­les. She was com­mis­sioned to direct one seg­ment of Hop­per Sto­ries, for the 2012 exhi­bi­tion ded­i­cat­ed to the painter Edward Hop­per at the Grand Palais in Paris. She is also a recip­i­ent of the Annen­berg Foun­da­tion Film Fel­low­ship. Her sec­ond film Madame Bovary star­ring Mia Wasikows­ka was pre­sent­ed at Deauville in 2015. The Pod Gen­er­a­tion is her third fea­ture film.
